Outdoor Activities: General Trips
(*** The Trip is full ***) The very name “Quetico” means canoe tripping paradise. Join Sean Worden on this remote backcountry canoe trip across the northern part of Quetico Provincial Park. This trip could be moderately challenging as the seven day trip will cover roughly 62 miles, 14 lakes, and 15 portages over the seven days. A nice variety of scenery, no long portages, and a mix of travel days makes this trip ideal for those looking for their first extended backcountry wilderness canoe trip.
From the put-in at Beaverhouse Lake the group will view the native pictographs on Quetico Lake, travelling thru Jean Lake to Sturgeon Lake, a day trip or layover day is planned in this area. We will then travel the Deux Rivieres route to Pickerel Lake and the final take-out at French Lake. Due to provincial park size and entry quota restrictions, this trip is limited to eight participants and permits have been arranged. All estimated group trip costs are to be paid prior to the trip – contact the leader for more information.
