Please join Patricia Rudolph to visit Lower Fort Garry National Historic Site off of Main Street north of Winnipeg right before the town of Selkirk .
Meet at 11:30 A.M. at the Visitor Centre to learn about the deep cultural and history of the area. Afterward, we will gather on the grounds for a bring your own lunch, followed by an afternoon hike along the scenic Red River of the Trans Canada Trail. We’ll walk about 45 minutes one way and return back, since this is part of the Trans Canada Trail and goes up to Selkirk, MB. July and August admission are fully covered by the Canada Strong Pass for 2026. Hiking on a mix of forested dirt paths and gravel trails.
