Outdoor Activities: Grey Hares
Location / Time: Meet at the Lower Fort Garry Visitor Centre at 9:45 AM. The tour starts at 10:00.
Description: We will start with a private, 1 hour story teller tour showing how the fort first transformed from an 1800s fur post into a 1920 luxury motor country club. (This tour doesn’t go into the buildings.)
Afterward, we will walk along the flat scenic 2.1 km trail, followed by bring-your-own lunch on the historic grounds.
Cost: General admission to the fort and grounds is completely free for July and August 2026, covered by the Canada Strong Pass, but the fee for the private guide is $8.50 per person. I will need the exact change since I have to collect the money at the door, and hand it over to the reception.
Bring: A bagged lunch and your name tag.
