Gillian finds joy in the outdoors through activities such as hiking, canoeing, skiing, and relaxing at her cabin in Whiteshell. She joined Nature Manitoba in 2007 with her son to take part in the Mantario Summer Program, which sparked her ongoing passion for paddling. Grateful for the opportunities that Nature Manitoba has given her to explore canoeing and deepen her connection to nature, Gillian has continued to broaden her involvement.
After retiring, she began volunteering in the office and eventually became a member of the board, where she gained a deeper appreciation for the diverse programs offered by Nature Manitoba and the dedication of its volunteers and staff. Gillian believes the organization is thriving and effectively fulfills its mission and supports its members. She remains dedicated to sustaining the organization’s strong programs and is eager to help the board and volunteers seek new ways to grow and enhance Nature Manitoba.
