FORMER WINNIPEG RESIDENT EXHIBITING YUKON IMAGES
The exhibit is titled; HORI-ZEN YUKON, and takes place at The Edge Village & Gallery, 611 Main Street, from July 6 through to July 12 with an opening reception on July 6, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
These large panoramic images endeavor to share the diverse, breathtaking, and inspiring scenery found in this isolated region of Canada. The distinct seasons found in the Yukon, as well as a sense of wonderment and stillness, challenge the artist to demonstrate to the audience the emotional and spiritual content these views possess. HORI-ZEN was recently exhibited in Whitehorse, Yukon and met with much praise for the visual content as well as the inspirational and emotional response that viewers sensed while experiencing these images. The exhibit also includes a silent auction be benefit Bridging the Gap, a Winnipeg charity endeavoring to involve inner-city kids with nature through science and hands-on activities.
Mr. Fraser grew up in Kenora, Ontario, is an honours graduate from the three year graphic design program at Cambrian College in Sudbury, Ontario, and lived in Winnipeg for over 20 years, while pursuing his career as a graphic designer, art director, and business owner.
