Outdoor Activities: Grey Hares
Location / Time: Birds Hill Provincial Park. Meet at 9:30 at the 59er Esso service station north parking lot (PTH 59 about 1 km south of the west entrance to Birds Hill Park).
Description: Hike for 2 to 3 hours. There is a chance of finding some edible mushrooms. Rain is forecast for Tuesday, so there is a chance we will get some mushrooms flushing on Wednesday.
We will be doing some off-trail walking.
Donna has bear spray and bear bangers.
A Manitoba Parks vehicle permit is required.
Bring: Some mesh bags, a knife to cut mushrooms, warm clothing/layers, boots for hiking and maybe gators if you have them, a pack, some lunch and snack, hot drinks, warm gloves, a whistle on your neck, and your name tag.
