The workshop will focus on finding and identifying adult butterflies including skippers, especially forest-dwelling species in southeastern Manitoba. Identification tips will be included for all butterfly families and for difficult groups of species such as fritillaries, blues, and duskywing skippers. There will be only brief discussion of moths (mainly on how to distinguish them from butterflies), butterfly diversity elsewhere in Manitoba, and immature forms and food plants.
