Kevin & Anita Miller (register by email at k.a.miller@mts.net).   Nature Manitoba's COVID-19 protocols (effective 2022-Sep-15): Here.

Location / Time: We'll launch from the new-in-2021 La Barrière Park canoe/kayak launch at 10:00 AM. The Waverley Street bridge over the La Salle River has reopened. After dropping off your canoe/kayak, it's an 800m drive to the parking lot and a 300m walk back to the canoe/kayak launch. Please plan to arrive by 9:30.

Description: We'll paddle upstream to the dam just east of La Salle town. There is a well-established grassy portage of the dam on the north side of the river, so we should be able to eat lunch there. Paddle downstream back to La Barrière Park. 18K total distance.

Toilets: There are toilets at La Barrière Park.

Boats: If you don’t have a canoe or kayak, we can try to partner you with a canoe owner who is looking for a bow paddler.

Rating: Novice (bow paddler in the canoe of an experienced stern paddler) to intermediate.

Bring: Lunch, water, sunscreen, your name tag, and warm extra clothes ... just in case.
