Thanksgiving Weekend Mantario Canoe Trip - between October 6th - 11th (dependent on weather):
Join Donna Kurt with 7 other experienced canoeists for a 4 day trip to Mantario Cabin between October 6th and 11th, dependent on weather.
Participants must provide and portage their own canoes and gear, must be fully vaccinated, test negative on a self-administered COVID-19 rapid test, and be able to follow all Mantario Cabin protocols. Donna will assess participants’ canoeing skills prior to the trip. The 5-7 hour trip is difficult with 4km of portages and 16km paddling in potentially wet, freezing conditions. You will be required to pay cabin fees (non-member $35, member $20, student $15 per night), in addition to shared food and transportation costs.
What will we do there? Explore by canoe or foot, chop wood, dine, practice canoeing skills, search for mushrooms, plants, birds, stars, Aurora, Qigong.
