It is a loop trip starting and ending at Johnson L (see map).
There are two main route options *(#1 and #2) with two suboptions (#2.1 and #2.2).

- Decision between option #2.1 and #2.2 based on how trip is proceeding.

Option #1: Johnson to Page to Indian House to Gammon to Royd to Lightning to Indian House to Johnson
- Total number of portages: 44 with a 975 m (twice) and a 1900 m.
- Advantage is mostly small system travel. Disadvantage is doing Indian House to Johnson leg twice and most # of portages.
Option #2.1: Johnson to Page to Indian House to Gammon to Roustol to Glenn to Telescope to Onnie to Johnson
- Total number of portages: 34 with a 975 m and a 1900 m.
- Advantage is fewest # of portages. Disadvantage is big lake travel from Roustol to Telescope and revisiting a long section (Glenn to Johnson via Onnie & Douglas Creek) travelled in 2016.
Option #2.2: Johnson to Page to Indian House to Gammon to Roustol to Glenn to Telescope to Embryo to Johnson
- Total number of portages: 34 with a 975 m and a 1900 m.
- Advantage is fewest # of portages. Disadvantage is big lake travel from Roustol to Telescope and revisiting a section Glenn to Telescope) travelled in 2016.
