Two (2) outings to choose from: Option 2: Snowshoeing in Lagimodiere-Gaboury park, one block north of Provencher and Des Meurons, off Thibault. Explore the woods then tramp along the Red and Seine rivers. Estimate time 1.5 to 2 hours. Suggest bringing a small snack. Subway and Dairy Queen across from park. 

From May Wady and Michael Farris’ house in the middle of Riverview, walk approximately .8 km to the warm-up shack located below the Canoe and Kayak Centre on Churchill Drive.  Walk to the Forks on the river trail (another 3 km).  Alternatively change into skates at the warm-up shack and skate on the river trail.  Several route options may be possible for both skaters and walkers.   Time skate o

Two (2) outings to choose from: Option 2: Hike in Birds Hill Provincial Park, enjoying peaceful surroundings amongst the winter landscape, with a cookout lunch over a fire.

Ski the forested trails at Beaudry Provincial Park. Ski trails for everyone – 6 or 13 kms. 

Hike Assiniboine Forest. Walk 5 km through the forest off Grant Avenue. Lunch at the Mennonite University cafe on north side of Grant Ave.

Enjoy a day at Florent Legault & Debbie Troche’s farm in Elie, MB. Make Stone Soup (from the kids’ storybook) in the Sugar Shack where everybody brings an item to throw in the soup. While it’s cooking, take a hike, bird watch, enjoy a bonfire or whatever.

Enjoy a hike all around the park - approx. distance 5 kms. Lunch at the Qualico Family Park Restaurant.
