As this was previously cancelled, let's try again and have an energetic morning start to Grey Cup day. This is a nice suburban hike in the southwest area around Breezy Bend golf course and onto the Headingley Grand Trunk Trail. Walking trails have been established through the neighbourhoods and forested regions, and the distance we do is totally dependent on the wind factor.

To salute the upcoming wintry moon, let's hike around Birds Hill Provincial Park in the early afternoon on various walking trails. Then alongside a roaring fire, roast some hot dogs and have lunch (this is not a potluck) while the very early evening darkness sets in. Count on a couple of hours of hiking.

Explore the new Monominto Hiking Trails

The Rural Municipality of Tache has created the brand new Monominto Trail ski and hiking system by reclaiming its old landfill dump area in the midst of a forest (ca. 7 km). Participants must be fully Covid vaccinated, adhere to all Covid protocols (like mine), and be Nature Manitoba members; documented proof of everything is required.
