Location: Meet at Beaudry Provincial Park parking lot at 10:30 AM. Departure is at 10:45. A provincial park vehicle permit is needed.
Description: Ski the trails in Beaudry Provincial Park and have lunch in one of the cabins, with a fire in the wood burning stove. This trip is designed for novice skiers. We will ski the Wild Grape and Elm trails (5.3 km total). These are on flat terrain.
People wanting an additional challenge can ski additional trails. Ski in groups of three or more.
Elm Trail (2.8 km) Ski the loop and return to the cabin.
Basswood Trail (3.4 km) involves descending and ascending the banks of the Assiniboine River and crossing the river. A safe river crossing is dependent on weather and water levels. The trail is on flat terrain. Ski the loop and return to the cabin.
Prairie Loop Trail (2.0 km) is on flat terrain. This would be done after returning to the parking lot.
Maple Trail (4.7 km) has slightly more challenging terrain. It involves descending and ascending the banks of the Assiniboine River and crossing the river. A safe river crossing is dependent on weather and water levels. It is listed for walking/snowshoeing, but has been groomed for skiing. This would be done after returning to the parking lot.
